Tuapse is located in the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar region, borders on the resort of Gelendzhik from one side, and on famous Large Sochi from the other. Ecologically favorable situation favors to an active recreation, climate furthers treatment and simply pleasant carefree rest. Environs of Tuapse are the first parks of ecological tourism in Krasnodar region. In 2002 the city was awarded as bonus as one of the cleanest and protected cities of Russia. Forests in the district occupy 9/10 of the territory. Tuapsinskiy district is characterized by extraordinary variety of “green” world, enriched at the same time with Crimean and Kolkhidian flora. In the district, there are 1200 types of plants counted in all.
In Tuapsinskiy area there are organized most interesting tours. You can enjoy the type of prehistoric dolmens aged of 6 thousand years, admire the size of Tulip tree. As well pleasant addition to rest will become a water trip in Ashe river valley, where there are mysterious waterfalls, gloomy caves and open-armed welcome in a local village – “aul”.
