Tell me about your company. How long has your company been in business?

Tour Company "Vision of Kamchatka" was founded in 2001. The office of the company is located in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. If you like to explore new places and corners of wild nature, or seek for new emotions, our tour company is ready to offer you ones. With us, you will climb the highest acting volcano of Europe and Asia – Kluchevskaya bold peak, as well as volcanoes Mutnovsky, Gorely, Avachinsky, Dzenzur, etc. Fishing on picturesque Kamchatka rivers, rest on hot springs, make a helicopter tour to the Geyser Valley. Sea cruises in Avachinskaya Bay and the Pacific Ocean. You will get acquainted with the thrilling and charming flora and fauna of Kamchatka whose nature escaped the touch of civilization and retained its wilderness. This is a wonderful place both for the most demanding guests and lovers of extreme tourism.

Where is Kamchatka? Who is the native people of Kamchatka?

Geographical location of Kamchatka is region Far North-East of Russia. The Koryaks, the Itelmens, the Evens and Evenky (tunguses), the Chukchis, the Aleuts are the native people of Kamchatka.

What is the climate like in Kamchatka?

Volcanoes, glaciers, sea around form Kamchatka's climate. Kamchatka's climate is decidedly continental; cool winters, warm summers. Summer and autumn months are by far the most popular (June-October) when max temperatures range from 15C (59F) to 30C (86F), but a growing trend in winter sports keeps tourism pulsing year-round.

What Kamchatka is famous for?

First of all, Kamchatka is famous for the Valley of Geysers, of course. Also Kamchatka is famous for volcanoes, red caviar, bears and beautiful landscapes

What activities are popular in Kamchatka?

In summer – trekking tours, ascensions on volcanoes, rafting, fishing. In winter running and mountain skiing, driving on snowmobiles and the dog sleds, thermal springs are most popular.

What kind of tours do you offer?

We have 3 basic directions: Excursions active tours, Trekking-sports tours and Fishing.

What is your favorite Kamchatka trip itinerary ?Why?

I think, Bears and Volcanoes is my favorite Kamchatka trip itinerary.The Kurilskoe lake is the soul of the peninsula, the largest spawning reservoir in the world, a habitat of the largest population of a brown bear. In windless weather handsome men are reflected in a lake smooth surface a volcano Ilinsky and Kambalnaja a hill, making impression of infinity of a landscape, red backs of jambs of a salmon seem continuations of solar beams which play any solar game. BEARS ….its as if have fallen asleep in ridiculous poses on stones beaches, … but second - and You see already successful fisher to regale on extraction, without leaving transparent waters of lake, and the young she-bear cautiously conducts the family to a backwater, avoiding old bear that basks in the sun after a dinner … and at night all stars of the world gather over lake to admire the reflexion, sparkling as if diamonds on a black velvet …

Who prepares the programs for your Kamchatka trips?

We develop all our tours. Our director - the geologist, he has travelled across Kamchatka and knows it very well. He is the main founder of each itinerary.

How many travelers visit Kamchatka every year? Who comes to Kamchatka?

Every year number of tourists visiting Kamchatka increases as popularity of Kamchatka grows. Not only Russian tourists, but also it is a lot of foreigners come to Kamchatka.

Do you get a lot of international tourists? Where does most of the tourists come from?

Most of our groups are international. Many tourists come from Europe, and also Australia, China (Taiwan).

Trip safety is important for travelers. How do you choose your guides/tour managers?

Our guides are very skilled. In an everyday life they are geologists, teachers, sportsmen etc.

Yevgeny Korotaev - director for tourism. Earlier he worked as a geologist. He knows Kamchatka from the inside. He has worked in tourism business for more than 20 years. Since 1994, he has been organizing tours around Kamchatka. kamchatka
Dmitry Solomensky Manager. Ethnographer, psychologist, engaged in tourism since the age of 12. Hobbies include extreme tourism, mountain climbing and sport tourism. kamchatka
Alexander Bichenko a mountain guide. Hobbies: climbing Kamchatka volcanoes, Himalayas expeditions, McKinley, Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc, Aconcagua. kamchatka
